Early Bird Toddler Tales
will be held on Fridays, February 10th, 17th, and 24th. Registration for the entire session is required, and you may choose from either the 9:30am to 10:15am or 10:30am to 11:15am time periods. This active program for ‘busy’ children ages 12 months to 3 1/2 years and their caregivers presents repetitive music and movement activities, familiar beloved songs, and a brief story. Because studies have shown that young children develop their socio-emotional as well as other skills through play, we will wrap up our program each week with an open play period offering the Library’s collection of age-appropriate toys.
Tween/Teen Candy Bingo
will be held Tuesday, February 7th at 3:00pm for ages 11 and up. Stop in after school for some fun and win some candy!
Family Story Time and Art Activity
will be held Thursday, February 9th AND February 23rd from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. A combination story time and art activity which is geared for families with children ages 3 and older. During each program you will enjoy a special book with Miss Victoria and explore a related art activity to take home with you. A Valentine book and craft will be shared on the February 9th program. All materials will be provided.
Pre-School Story Time
will be held every Wednesday morning from 10:45am to 11:00am for 4 weeks beginning on February 8th. Preschoolers ages 3-5 can join Miss Laurie, Miss Susan and Miss Elsie for fun stories, songs, movement activities, and crafts.
Family Story Time
will be held Saturday, February 9th AND February 18th from 10:30am to 11:00am. No registration is required for our cozy Story Time all about this lovely time of the year. This ‘short and sweet’ half-hour story time is geared to all ages who love music and books.
Valentine Make-N-Take Craft Activity
will be held Saturday, February 11th from 10:30am to 11:30am for ages 6 to 12. Yes, it’s that time of year again for gifts of flowers, candy, and specially-made cards. Miss Victoria will offer a hands-on Valentine card-making activity. All you need to bring is your imagination and some TLC, and the other materials will be provided.
Friends Book Sale
will be held Tuesday, February 14th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Come upstairs for some great deals!
Advance Care Planning Program
will be held Wednesday, February 22nd from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Dr. Alexander Nesbitt will present advance care planning, which is the process of considering, discussing, and documenting preferences about care during serious or advanced illness. Dr Nesbitt will discuss ACP, the role of living wills and advance directives, the “Pink Card”, and the “POLST” document. He will also answer any questions you may have. Don’t miss this important meeting for your future.
Pre-registration is required for all activities unless otherwise stated and can be made by calling 546-5014 after 1pm or stopping in at the library.
